(SPOILERS) Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder Tweets First Pic of Damon in Season 6

2014 | News

THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS, DO NOT READ ANY FARTHER IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILED!!!

Ian Somerhalder has a bloody good Hump Day treat for Vampire Diaries fans.

The actor on Wednesday tweeted the first picture of himself in character for the CW drama’s upcoming sixth season, leading fans to speculate about Damon’s future:

Given his bloody appearance, is it safe to assume Damon will return from [wherever he and Bonnie disappeared to] fairly early in the season? Or will he get a chance to feed while he’s [wherever he and Bonnie disappeared to]?

“It’s not torturous, but it’s by no means a roller coaster ride of fun,” executive producer Julie Plec recently told TVLine about Damon and Bonnie’s Season 6 whereabouts. “If nothing else, it’s a bit of an existential experience.”
Hmm…

This story, Years of Living Dangerously, is so important. As David Gelber put it just now, this story needs to be told and that it’s time to stop talking about climate change and start DOING something about it. We will no longer stand for elected state and federal officials as well as corporate America not addressing this and creating action. Thank you Showtime and the entire Years of Living Dangerously team for doing this. ‘Years of Living Dangerously’ Named First Honoree of 2014 Environmental Media Awards (Exclusive)

| News

Emmy-nominated Showtime documentary series Years of Living Dangerously has been announced as the first honoree of the 2014 Environmental Media Awards.

The awards, which recognize people and organizations that heighten awareness of environmental concerns, are overseen by the Environmental Media Association. This year’s ceremony will take place Oct. 18 at Warner Bros. Studios, with nominees and more honorees set to be announced later this month.

Years of Living Dangerously is a nine-part series that premiered on Showtime in April 2014 and focuses on how climate change affects Americans, along with how the situation can be improved. Executive producers James Cameron, Jerry Weintraub, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Daniel Abbasi, Joel Bach and David Gelber will receive “The EMA Outstanding Achievement for Environmental Content Award.”

The series — which is currently Emmy-nominated for outstanding documentary or nonfiction series and outstanding writing for nonfiction programming — features appearances by such stars as Harrison Ford, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle.

“The Environmental Media Association is so proud to honor Years of Living Dangerously for its remarkable and groundbreaking programing explaining and inspiring action around the most urgent issue of our time, the environment,” said EMA president Debbie Levin.

Among last year’s winners and honorees were Promised Land, House of Cards, Last Man Standing, Hayden Panettiere and Damon.

More information can be found at EMA’s website.
